Cliftonville Football Club are very pleased to announce the signing of Jamie Harney. The central defender came through the Maiden City Academy in Derry before being snapped up by West Ham United in 2014. A loan spell with Colchester United resulted in a transfer to The U's for the 21-year-old, who has this evening become Manager Barry Gray's second signing following the recent pre-contract acquisition of Brian Neeson from Carrick Rangers. In addition to welcoming Jamie to Solitude, the Club are also happy to confirm that Stephen Garrett, Martin Donnelly and Jude Winchester have all signed new deals with the Reds. Goalkeeper Peter Burke has, meanwhile, been released by mutual consent, while Jason McGuinness will also depart the Club.
